Who We Are

At Aevo, we're more than just an avocado oil company. We're a testament to organic, sustainable, and conscious living, rooted in the heart of Ethiopia, Africa. Our journey began in 2020 amidst the serene outskirts of Jimma city, far from the chaos of everyday life.

Avocados, while beloved for their taste and health benefits, often leave us feeling disappointed with their unpredictable ripening. We saw an opportunity to change that narrative by bottling the goodness of avocados and spreading it across the globe. But our mission extends beyond just producing oil; it's about uplifting and empowering the African women community.

Only Cold Pressed Oil

At Aevo, quality is paramount. We select only the finest avocados, those we would happily enjoy at our own table. Our process involves extracting oil solely from the fruit's pulp, ensuring maximum freshness and nutrients. The skin and seeds are repurposed back into the soil, completing the cycle of sustainability. With a processing temperature of no more than 40°C (104°F), we preserve all the richness and goodness of avocados in our oil.

Aevo's Fair-Trade Organic Family

Since our inception, we've partnered with thousands of farmers and their families, advocating for traditional farming practices and ethical avocado cultivation. Together, we've facilitated the attainment of organic certification, recognizing their commitment to sustainable agriculture. Our farmers, stewards of the land for generations, prioritize sustainability, ensuring minimal impact on the environment.

Aevo was born out of a desire to create a product that consumers could trust, from farm to fork. Our farm-to-fork journey encompasses every stage of production, guaranteeing freshness and food safety. We're committed to preventing microbial contamination and promoting a healthier, safer future.

Zero Waste Product

Environmental responsibility is at the core of Aevo's ethos. After extracting oil from the avocado pulp, we repurpose every part of the fruit. Seeds, skin, and wax are recycled into organic fertilizers, while our bottles are designed for reuse in customers' pantries. Our commitment to sustainability ensures that what comes from the earth returns to it in a harmonious cycle.

Aevo’s Nursery

Our dedication to sustainability extends to our nursery, where we graft new avocado plants from seed remains. Under the supervision of our skilled agronomist team, we nurture these plants using only organic fertilizer. We donate over 2 million grafted avocado plants annually to local farmers, unions, cooperatives, and universities, fostering agricultural growth and biodiversity.

Women Empowerment

Women play a vital role in agriculture, particularly in developing countries like Ethiopia. Recognizing their invaluable contributions, Aevo champions women's empowerment by providing employment opportunities and supporting women farmers. With a workforce that is 90% women-led, we strive to increase their revenue and enhance family livelihoods.

Our Certifications

Aevo holds various certifications, ensuring an organically integrated supply chain and the highest food safety standards for our customers. Each bottle of Aevo avocado oil is traceable to its source, with our skilled team continuously monitoring oil samples for quality consistency. Our goal is to provide premium quality edible oil to every kitchen, reliably and efficiently.
